Diversity
There are many ethnic groups across the Thames Valley region and it’s important that each one of these communities is reflected in our organisation by the people that we employ. We recognise that being diverse makes our services more approachable and relevant to those we serve and this is why we’re keen to recruit people with a wide range of skills and experiences and an understanding of cultural issues. Consequently, we particularly encourage people from black, Asian and other minority ethnic communities to join us.
We are fully committed to supporting all staff and run a number of support networks that help to promote equality and diversity within the Force and the wider community. These include The Police Federation, Unison, Thames Valley Association of Muslim Police, Thames Valley Black Police Association, Thames Valley Christian Police Association, Thames Valley Gay Police Association, Women’s Network, Staff Disability Working Group and the Police Armed Forces Families Association.
