As a Police Force, it’s our job to protect our communities by tackling crime and the causes of crime and everyone in our organisation needs to be totally committed to this. It’s about having a natural desire to help others and it’s one of the first things we’ll look for if you decide to join.
Meeting the demands of a busy Police environment also requires a professional attitude. That’s why an organised approach, eye for detail, strong customer focus and calmness under pressure will all come in handy whatever role you apply for. Other qualities we look for in our support staff are the ones that make a big difference on the frontline. These include being helpful, approachable, knowledgeable, resourceful, quick thinking, calm and diplomatic.
